The National Instruments Alliance Partner Program is a global network of consultants and system integrators who partner with NI to provide complete, high quality virtual instrumentation solutions to customers.

BAE Chairman's Award

The Chairmans Awards recognise BAE Systems employees, colleagues and industry partners for outstanding achievements in three categories; 'innovation', 'enhancing customer performance' and 'transferring best practise'. The Chairman's Awards Scheme has been running since 1996 and has been a great success with over 50,000 people involved.


RF

2005 and 2009 saw recognition of our work with BAE Systems for our RF testing facility. A BAE Chairman's Bronze Award for innovation was bestowed upon TBG. The system demonstrated that RF testing could be automated to a level where it could be performed by operatives with little or no knowledge of RF. The system incorporated the following:

  • Eliminate human errors during test parameter entry
  • Generic test editor allowing engineers to create new tests or edit existing test parameters
  • A test sequencer was used allowing engineers to create, edit and execute custom test procedures
  • Custom test report compilation allowing transparency

The awards are given each year from among the entries submitted throughout the company worldwide by BAE Systems business units, teams, joint ventures, and other activities. Panels of judges review the entries and from them chose those of most merit.

ISO 9001:2008 specifies the requirements for a quality management system. We as an organisation demonstrate our ability to consistently provide products or services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. We aim to enhance satisfaction through the effectiveness of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. ISO covers requirements for:

  • Procedures that cover all key processes in the business
  • Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective
  • Checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary
  • Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness
  • Facilitating continual improvement
