Remote Data Logger

TBG's Remote Data Logger is a stand-alone unit allowing you to monitor and control, therefore optimising the conditions in your environment. With modular instalments, our Remote Data Logger can be used in a multitude of environments, from the monitoring of power to harsh environments, ensuring each module works efficiently to resolve your situation.

Demobox

The Remote Data Logger is a small, solid state, rugged industrial acquisition system powered by FPGA technology from National Instruments for ultra-high performance and customisation. The system incorporates a real-time processor and reconfigurable FPGA for reliable stand-alone or distributed data logging applications.

Powered by either mains or battery power, the Remote Data Logger is suited to environments where manual monitoring is difficult or impossible. Current uses include high-speed trains and cranes where monitoring for engineers is dangerous or impractical. Where safety and ease of access are paramount, our Remote Data Logger is a cost-effective solution providing you with access to vital real-time data.

Hot-swappable I/O modules with built-in signal conditioning allow direct connection to a variety of sensors including accelerometers, pressure transducers, flow transducers, temperature devices, strain gauges and/or any voltage/current transducers. The system is also capable of connecting directly to a variety of communication protocols including CAN, I²C, SPI, Ethernet, USB, RS232, RS422, and RS485.

Overview

With distributed logging, our system is able to monitor continuously around the clock. Preserving your data 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, allows you to make more informed decisions about your environments.

Remote connectivity options include direct connection to an embedded CompactFlashâ„¢ card, Wi-fi and GPRS using mobile phone technology. GPRS connectivity enables 2-way communication with the Remote Data Logger allowing configuration settings to be changed 'on the fly'.
