How We Work

Our experienced team of engineers deliver the best engineering solutions ensuring that every customer receives the optimum complete solution to meet their business challenge. During this process, we take every project through three major steps:

  • Understand
  • Engineer
  • Deliver

Challenge us

With over 300 test, measurement and control projects delivered we have the confidence and the skill to meet any challenge you may have within your business. Why not put us to the test? Contact us with details of your project and allow us to show you what we are capable of.

Understand

Initial Understanding
From first contact, we need to establish the overall scope of the project. The key information we need at this stage is the project background, timescales, top-level system requirements and interfaces. Using the information gained, we then assign the most appropriate team members to the project.

Project Scope
We like to conduct a complete project scope on-site, face to face, so we can fully understand the engineering challenge. Our full project scope covers:

  • Business background
  • Project background
  • Project goals
  • Timescales
  • Technical requirements
  • Platform requirements
  • System interface
  • User interface
  • Size requirements
  • Performance criteria
  • Agreed deliverables
  • Agreed project plan

Engineer

Initial Design
To demonstrate that we understand your requirements we will produce an initial design showing how the hardware and software will work. This allows us to confirm the finer details of the project and create a working document between us.

Design
It is at this stage that our investment in our people and processes pays off. We take the initial design and create detailed designs for both the software architecture and the hardware to be manufactured. This key stage allows us to use our knowledge and experience to resolve complex challenges.

Critical Design Review
This final sign-off stage, before we push the button and manufacture the new test equipment (hardware and software), is vital to ensuring that your product meets the agreed specification and requirements. This allows for everyone to sign off the final design and move onto production.

Production
To reduce manufacturing lead times, both hardware and software test equipment are produced in parallel. Our software engineers build your software on the most suitable platform, while our manufacturing engineers produce the hardware, all within an ISO9001 environment. The final stage is for Quality to approve and validate both parts of the system and take the new build through a full test profile before release.

Deliver

Sign Off
We will invite you to our manufacturing site to conduct the sign off of the new equipment. Here you can explore the engineering function of both hardware and software, and test your product through your new test equipment.

Commissioning
The final stage of our process is to commission the new hardware and software on your site. This handover process allows you to ensure full functionality and a chance for your operators to get hands-on with the new equipment. Once commissioned, your new test, measurement or control equipment will be ready to use.

Service
As standard on all of our designed and manufactured equipment we supply a 2 year warranty as part of our commitment to our products and continued customer support. Once your warranty period is over, all equipment will roll over onto our bronze level service support package, which includes defined call-out rates and free telephone support. You can also choose to increase your support by upgrading to either our silver or gold support packages, which will help to reduce internal management of your equipment.
